Anirudh,

Thanks for detailing how you got your AIC-7890 controller to work under
linux with the new patches. I've been following this rather closely and
your insight into disabling the SCSI BIOS and the Wide negotiation is
what allowed me to see my hard-drive, finally.

I know want to re-install RedHat 5.1 so my system boots from the SCSI
disk instead of an interim 212MB hard drive which it is currently using
as a root partition. I've tried to get your boot51.zip disk but the
link is very slow. Do you have any idea how and would you care to
comment on changing the system to boot from the SCSI disk without
"re-installing" with your modified boot disk?

By the way, how did you learn how to make a Red-Hat boot disk?

I really appreciate the help you've already given me and wanted you to
know it. If you have any time to comment on anything else I've asked,
feel free but unobliged.

Thanks,

Travis Oliphant
