Hi,

People who want to update their kernel to latest ncr53c8xx driver version
can download the corresponding files from ftp.tux.org:

Update for linux-2.0.34:

    ftp://ftp.tux.org/pub/roudier/ncr53c8xx-3.0-for-linux-2.0.34.patch.gz

Update for other linux version (2.0.29 to 2.1.105):

    ftp://ftp.tux.org/pub/roudier/ncr53c8xx-3.0.tar.gz

This tar contains the driver files that are to be moved to their kernel
destination /usr/src/linux/drivers/scsi.

The previous version was 2.6n. In fact, version 3.0 is technicaly not
very different from version 2.6n.

I donnot have tested this driver version under 2.1.105 kernel due to
lack of time, but I think it should be ok for this kernel too.
I have incorporated all the changes for non-intel platforms that had
been sent by Mister X directly to Linus excepted those on which I
extremally disagreed. Basically, most of these changes seem to be
related to Sparc port.

Could you, Sparc Port Team, check this driver for Sparc and let
me know if something is missing, not correct or just broken for this
platform?

Regards,
    Gerard.
