Which of these are oriented towards servers---I got the impression from
somewhere (don't remember exactly where) that the BT-958 was the better card
for server applications, yet it's cheaper than the Flashpoint D*s? Do I have
my product lines backwards, or is BusLogic's pricing wierd?
The FlashPoint D* are *dual* boards, hence their higher prices.
The FlashPoint boards have lower latency and are somewhat faster because of
that, but they do take more host CPU. The MultiMaster boards are somewhat more
robust in the face of SCSI bus problems. I think the BT-948/958 MultiMaster
boards are the most trouble-free, though the default 5.07B firmware they ship
should be replaced with 5.06J for the most reliable operation.
