Hi,
I have a problem with SCSI termination of a M2954QYF drive. I've
searched through all www docs and diagrams already...
The docs say that by default SCSI termination is enabled for all pins
of the wide bus. For this both jumpers of CN10 should be shorted.
However, I've got a (new) drive that has NO jumpers at CN10!! Just two
pairs of holes, which means that if I want to short them I need to use
a wire...
The drive doesn't work when put in the middle of a SCSI bus together
with 3 other Seagate drives. It works fine when connected alone to the
Adaptec board. This is in contradiction with the docs, since if CN10
are not shorted there should be no termination on the disk, and so the
drive shouldn't work when it's alone with the adapter.
The drive's behaviour is consistent: it works alone, but doesn't work
in the middle of the bus together with other drives, indicating it's
terminating the bus. So, how can I make it NOT terminate the bus? Do I
have to put wires at CN10???
Thanks in advance,
Carlos
