Q: recognizing IWill SCSI card?

hi all -- question from a (eager, quick-learning) newb.

I recently installed redhat5, and had to skip over the scsi device
installation because there was appeared to be no compatible driver for my
scsi controller card. each one I tried gave me errors.

I'm using an IWill 2935UW (but the readme and boot sequence refer to Initio
... puzzling) and hunting around on the IWill ftp server yielded a driver
package, in the form of one .c file, one .h file, and one .bin file.
attempting to compile yielded errors from missing headers: sd.h among
others.

does anyone know of a compatible module/driver for this card? (am I confused in thinking that I can use an installable module?)

more importantly, do I have to learn how to recompile my kernel already, in
order to get this to work? ;^)

system:
p133/80mb/1.2gig W95/2.0gig WNT4 & RH5
extern SCSI Jaz drive

tia,
~stuart
