Hi there. :)

Well, IMO, Seagate IS the problem, but I'll try.

Ugh Ugh UGH! You sure you got the jumpers right on that drive?

#and there are a lots of these 2 lines, Until reboot.
#During the boot, we have in syslog :
#May 23 08:58:28 ns kernel: aic7xxx: Extended translation disabled.

*dingdingding!!* Here's the problem.

#
#After that I tried :
#	fsck -av /dev/sda1
#
#and then I obtain :
#May 23 08:58:28 ns kernel: aic7xxx: Target 0, channel A, now synchronous at 10.0MHz, offset(0xf).
#May 23 09:00:41 ns kernel: aic7xxx: Target 0 underflow - Wanted (at least) (1024) got(512) count(1).
#May 23 09:03:21 ns kernel: aic7xxx: Target 0 underflow - Wanted (at least) (1024) got(512) count(1).
#May 23 09:03:22 ns kernel: aic7xxx: Target 0 underflow - Wanted (at least) (1024) got(512) count(1).

Of course you did! As you can see above..

"Extended translation disabled."

Meaning; No drives over 1G will be supported. Whoooooooooops! Gotta fix
that. :)

As to the rest.. UGH! I dunno, mebbe a bad controller? *shrug*
