I've got one of those "Onsale special" Archive 4586NPR 32gb DDS2
autoloaders, and last night it decided to eat a Sony 5CL cleaning tape.
It ejected the 4 cassette magazine, but kept the cleaning tape in the
drive. I've followed Seagate's instructions for freeing a stuck tape and
just can't get it out. Has anyone faced this and solved the problem
without shipping the drive to Seagate? They want $249 to exchange it for
a refurb...and I don't think it's worth it.
