Date: Fri, 08 May 1998 12:19:16 -0400 (EDT) From: David Hamm <dhamm@itserve.com> To: Linux Scsi <linux-scsi@vger.rutgers.edu> Having problems with aic7xxx controler and fujitsu drives. I seem to get parity errors. I've put the drives on an NT box with a symbios card and have no problems. I also have another server using the aic7xxx chip with a fujitsu drive and it works find. The only difference I can see is the model number of the drives. The one that works is M2954Q and the other is a M2954E. I've had a problem before with the M2954E as the system drive on the same computer so I had the mother boards swaped and ultimatly had go to a quantum drive to get the system up. The error I got when I tried to install redhat on this drive is below. And yes I have used two different M2954Es.
