I'm testing the 2.0.34pre11b kernel and I'm having problems with the
aic7xxx driver. This is the 5.0.13 release of the driver.
On an Intel SMP system with a built-in AIC-7880 I get pages of this
error message at boot:
(scsi0:-1:-1:-1) Data Parity Error during PCI address or PCI writephase.
I have not yet tried the 5.0.14 driver release, but I didn't see
anything in that release that obviously would help with this.
The 4.1.1 release in 2.0.33 works fine.
One other datapoint. In the past I've tried the 5.0.x releases on
very different systems (but all MP 1.4 pentium pro systems with at
least 2 processors and built-in 7880 controllers) under 2.0.33 and had
similar problems.
Thanks,
Larry
