At a previous shop we had a jukebox (a DLT4700, IIRC).  It worked
flawlessly hanging off a linux box (buslogic 948 controler).  We used
one of the changer utils (probably Leonard Zubkoff's) to switch
between the tapes and dump(8) from linux, bsdi and soalris boxen for
the backups.  Best tape drive I ever used.

P.S.  Does the current verson of the NetApp OS support the jukebox as
anything other than a gravity changer?  It was the lack of this
support that kept us from leaving the DLT on the toaster....
