I'm not sure I agree with your statement about the NCR driver (particularly the 725
driver) not being solid, but I do agree that there is something to be said for
having Linux drivers which come from BusLogic.  You're not going to save a whole
lot of money regardless given that the price of the more expensive card is only
$80.
