The distribution NCR 53c810 drivers do not disconnect/reconnect.

The net effects of this are that if you use a hard drive and a 
tape drive on the same NCR board, you get locked out of your disk
whenever the tape drive rewinds, retensions, etc.  Not pretty.

If you're just using a tape drive (or have a pair of the boards),
it usually works fine (there are a lot of PCI headaches).
