I currently use an Adaptec 2940W with no trouble (not the ultra-wide); and
its a pretty good card. Not entirely sure why you wouldn't want to use the
Ultra, except it might be a good idea to consider going up a step (3940X?)
if you want a very powerful card, rather than the ultra in the 2940 range,
which kinda strikes me as a 'pumped' version of the slower cards.
