Hi,
I have just tried to use parallel port ZIP as my root filesystem in 2.1.86
(in 2.0.33 it works) using setting "root=/dev/sda4" at LILO boot prompt
and I received:
Partition check:
/dev/sda: sda4
...
ll_rw_block: Trying to read nonexistent block device 0d:00 (1)
EXT2-fs: unable to read superblock
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 0d:00
I've checked it a few times. It always understand my "root=/dev/sda4"
as 0d:00 (should be 08:04 I think).
Where is the problem?
If it is a ppa driver problem (I don't think so) is it maintained?
with regards
