Why ?
3 Days ago I buy a CD-RW with a AHA1520B card and everything is working
fine. I use the same card configuration under linux-2.1.85 as you.

I use the append line 'append=".... aha152x=0x340,11,7,0"' for lilo. At
then moment i dont compile the 2.0.33 kernel with the AHA152x support,
but i think it will work to.
