Schuck" <bruce@aps.org> To: Linux SCSI Mailing List <linux-scsi@vger.rutgers.edu> Howdy all, I have a Gateway P5-90 that I installed Slackware '96 (aka 2.0) on an IDE secondary drive. It also has an IDE cdrom drive as well. I am going to install an Adaptec AHA-2940UW card and SCSI cdrom, so I can also install SCO Unixware, and perhaps NT4.0 (my boot drive is in a removable tray, so I can change OS's quickly. Just can't share files). The SCSI-HOWTO isn't exactly clear, as I think it addresses more of when I am booting from a SCSI disk. The SCSI in my case will merely be the CDROM, and perhaps in the future a tape backup and maybe optical drive. So... I noticed the /etc/rc.d/rc.modules does not have a specific AHA2940, or even AHA294* line to uncomment. Do I need to perhaps download a driver somewhere? Add a line to this file? Appreciate any advise. Thanks. Bruce S.
