I call Micropolis 3.5" 7200RPM drives Micrapalots.  I've had nothing but
trouble with them...RMA after RMA, they still don't work properly.

Another thing to try is force the Micropolis to operate in async mode
rather than sync.  That appears to be helping with the 3243 I still have
in service...and it is still using TQ, though it's on a NCR 810.
 
I've got a dual P150 running just fine with a BT-948 and a couple of IBM
disks under 2.0.33-SMP.
