A clarification. If I build aha1542 support into 2.1.7[56] then the
devices owned and apparently found by ncr53c8xx.o will not all be
accessible. The aha1542 support will also not load as a module. If the
aha1542 support is not built into the kernel then the ncr53c8xx cards
works as correctly. I have no problems with 2.1.74
