You can restore the conservative configuration provided in 2.0.27
by setting the boot command line option "eata=mq:2".
Of course the elevator sorting feature of the EATA ISA/EISA/PCI
driver will be automatically turned off, because sorting makes
sense when there are 3 or more requests to be sorted.
Generally queuing multiple commands creates problems when there
is buggy disk drive firmware of marginal scsi hw or bad terminations.
