Bus Reset?

Hi all. I have an old Micropolis and a newer Seagate attached to the
50-pin internal connector of my aha2940UW.

It seems occasionally the bus resets itself, or something to that effect.
Its not just the normal syncing noise drives sometimes make. It goes on
and off for a few minutes, maybe 10, then stops completely. While its
making these noises, the drive motor seems to spin down, then start back
up. There are no messages from syslog..

Any ideas what this could be? Should I be concerned about the data on the
drives? It so happens there's nothing of importance on there, but I'd
like to know if the driver from 2.0.31 could cause this, or it is in fact
the drive..

Thanks,
Dave
