BusLogic / CDROM problem

The following error occured the other day while I was listening to an audio CD.
The CD was apparently "skipping" (the time readout of the xmcd program was
bouncing around all over the place), so I hit the "Stop" button on xmcd. I got
a lot of these errors and eventually I could not access any of my SCSI devices.
Any ideas?
Linux 1.2.10, BusLogic 946C, Seagate 2G HD, NEC Multispin 6Xi
