Hi,
I am running Linux 1.2.8/1.2.9/1.2.10. I have some serious problems
with th NCR 53C810 driver. I have a 700 MB partition on a 2GB SCSI
drive. When I did a fsck on that partition, the NCR drive said
something like:
scsi0 : resetting for second half of retries.
scsi0 : DANGER : NCR53c7xx_reset is NOP
After that, my machine hung. I am not sure if my hard is to blame
since my other partitions on that drive are fine. Does anyone
have the similar problem with the Linux NCR driver?
I have an Intel Plato MB with an old NCR BIOS. My NCR SCSI card is
ASUS SC-200 53C810. Does anyone know how can I upgrade the NCR BIOS?
I have tried Intel/AMI BIOS 1.00.13.Ax1. It still has the old NCR BIOS.
Thanks a lot.
H.J.
