Hi.
Yeah, me again ... :)
this time i got a prob with my new cdwriter.
its a Yamaha 400t. controller is a 2940uw, hdd ibm dcrs.
when i try to "cdrecord" a cd it works perfectly
as long as i just use dummy mode. if i try to use
"burn"-mode then it crashes. allways !
(aehm, a 100MB-session sis work in real-mode to.)
the crash is NOT related to sysload i guess.
also happens if i burn with double or single speed.
(and i used to write cds with a HP-6020i in double
while doing a kernel-kompile on the same system. no probs.)
and it allways happens at around 500 of 600 MB.
i dont know if it is a prob of "cdrecord" or of the
scsi-part of the kernel. btw, kernel is pre-9 with
the fink buffer patches and even tried the "new"
2940-driver (abort-sep05). even tried with aic7xxx=no_reset.
output of cdrecord and syslog follows.
need more dumps ? just ask me...
In search for help,
Gruss,
Hauke
