A *lot* of people on comp.periphs.scanners are having real problems under
all sorts of OS's, including Windows NT and Windows 95, with Adaptec
controllers and several brands of scanner, including Umax scanners. I'm
told that adaptec scsi line driver circuitry is suspect.
