I know many people haven't had problems with Hawks, but I suspect they
could be to blame.
We have had similar problems with 4Gb Hawk drives on Solaris (SPARC)
systems The system is virtually frozen without a panic, with repeated
SCSI timeouts. This used to happen very often - we replaced the
firmware in the drives, and now it only happens often :-{, about two
weeks apart, usually at quiet times for some reason.
