It's compiled straight into the kernel, not as a module - and we get a

scsi : 0 hosts.
scsi : detected total.

message at boot time. Can a cabling problem cause this? I htought it meant
the card itself hadn't been detected.

Ok - I'll try stripping down the config directive...

No - we don't have any internal devices hanging off the card - termination
was on auto - I'm about to shut down and try it with termination forced to
on - I'll write again in a few minutes when I know if that worked...
