Hmm. I may have left my unconnected external SCSI cable hang off the
controller after moving my scanner. I'm not sure if it wasn't connected
during these errors. The cable is connected now, and the scanner is
turned off most of the time.
I hope I can find out for sure if the problem was just that cabling thing.
