AHA1542 and AHA3940 together

I have an AHA 3940 PCI dual bus ultra-wide controller which works
fine using Linux kernel 2.0.29 and the latest aic7xxx driver (June 1).
However, I ran into some problems in attempting to install an
AHA 1542CF ISA controller. This would give me three scsi hosts. At
bootup, all three controllers are recognized, but the system hangs
during the diagnostic output for the aic7xxx. My boot disk is on
the 3940; the 1542 is for a CDROM drive and a 4mm DAT. I would like
to have the aic7xxx on scsi0 and scsi1 and the 1542 on scsi2.

Has anyone successfully used these two controllers together? I suspect
I may need some boot time arguments to LILO to get things working
correctly, although I couldn't locate any information on this.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Best regards,
