A while ago I emailed this mailing list about my TMC-950 on my sound card.
Thanks to Richard Waltham for that info. Now, the problem is that it detects
odd things during bootup (and if I manually install the modules later on).
What I get is:
scsi: unknown type 23
Vendor: Model: Rev:
Type: unknown ANSI SCSI revision: 0
(repeat 3 to 5 times depending upon lunar cycles, then)
resize_dma_pool: unknown device type 23
(again the same number of times)
The options I have set are: ARBITRATE SLOW_HANDSHAKE FAST32. I have
overidden the autoprobe as the host is on a soundcard and lacks any form of
BIOS. Occaisonally, it doesn detect the IBM CDROM I have, but then it
usually fails to get any further, instead trying all (3-5) devices for any
valid filesystem, and then failing. My SCSI hard drive was slightly more
successful, provided it wasn't plugged in with the CDROM. I almost got a
filesystem on that, before it sadly died; failing to power-up ever again.
Both driver workd perfectly with the official DOS drivers, thus leaving the
Linux driver as the only thing where the problem may exist.
Incidently, what value terminators should I have? The harddrive had them,
the CDROM doesn't.
Thanks in advance,
Mike.
