MediaVision SCSI interface

I have lumbered myself with a Media Vision Pro Sonic 16 soundcard which
(apparently) has a SCSI interface on it. However, after much hair-tearing
out and kernel recompiling I eventually looked on the company's web pags and
discovered that the SCSI bit is not a proper SCSI `host' but what seems to
be some Mickey-Mouse(tm) SCSI adapter for CD-ROM's. But the chip has `Future
Domain' scribbled on it, along with the magic numbers: 9421BU 361402
VY06607-2 9C50 (of which I know not what they mean). Does anybody recognise
this chip? What I am hoping is that Media Vision couldn't be bothered to
write sensible DOS drivers for it so it can only cope with CD-ROM's from
DOS, but that it is a proper adapter anyway. Except that none of the 2.0.30
kernel SCSI drivers do anything with it (except for the one's that crash -
they crash). The manual gives no clues as to the port but gives you the
options of IRQ 11, 14 and 15, and memory addresses CA00, CE00, C800 and
DE00. (If it's a noddy adapter, then why give the option of IRQ14? This
doesn't make sense.) The Pro Audio Spectrum 16 driver does not work, and
enither do wither of the Future Domain ones.

Any suggestions, help, advice or offers for the b**dy thing will be
appreciated.

Thanks,
	Mike.
