I recently added a 2940 to my system, and now I am no longer able to get
Linux started with LILO.
Previously my HD with Linux was connected to my 1542, and LILO was
placed on the MBR of my IDE drive which boots first. When I added the
2940, I moved my HD to the 2940. Since then I am not able to boot Linux
with LILO, I have to use a floppy. Both SCSI controller contain a BIOS,
the 1542 BIOS comes first but because there are no bootable devices
attached it is not really installed. After that comes the 2940 BIOS
which install my SCSI HD as D:
When I ask LILO to boot Linux from /dev/sda1 is says:
Loading Linux
And after a while it gives: error 0x80
My guess is that LILO talks to te wrong SCSI BIOS, does somebody know a
solution for this program.
Thanks in advance,
Jurgen Kramer
