That's not a controller problem. Your disk drive is reporting what
would appear to be a single bad sector. If it were my drive, I would
use the 'scsi-config' utility to turn on Automatic Read/Write Remapping
Enable (ARRE and AWRE) on the drive and allow the drive to map out the
bad sector automatically.
The only disadvantage of leaving AWRE and ARRE enabled is that you have
to check the drive's "Grown Defect List" occasionally to see whether the
drive is continuing to deteriorate. You might not get any further
reports of medium problems until the drive has used up all of its spare
sectors and spare cylinders.
