I've been having lots of corruption/crash/lockup problems with tagged
queuing enabled on my news server. It's been suggested that tagged
queuing may not be implemented properly on the drives.
Is there a compatibilty chart somewhere?
Controllers are Adaptec 2940 Rev B
Drives are Seagate 15150N rev 017 (barracuda 4.2Gb)
and Quantum VP32210 rev 581H (Capella 2Gb)
It's also been suggested that the Seagates can have new firmware loaded
into their eeprom. No reply from Seagate as yet (it's been a week) on
this query.
Is there any way to compile with tagged queuing support and disable it
with a lilo flag at bootup?
