I've got an oem version of the WD7000 controller here, and have been
wanting to upgrade from an AHA-1522A. I noted that in the SCSI-howto,
there were revisions of the board that weren't supposed to work;
particularly those without an 'A' suffix (I assume the author meant Z80
instead of a Z80A?)
In any case... I edited and recompiled the driver to recognize my BIOS,
since it isn't the FASTST2 BIOS, but even though the controller is
recognized now, it still doesn't function properly. The devices on the
SCSI bus either aren't recognized, or are pulled down as garbage
("manufacturer: U, name: ja, sector size: 0"). I don't have any dox on
this board, so I can't do anything with it...
I was wondering (finally - to the point) if there are any patches or
alternate drivers for this board to work properly, or if I should try and
unload it on my neighbor.
Thanx for any help!
