Help!
I need to put together a fairly hefty linux system with about 10gb of drive
space. What I need is to be able to create a Linux file system of at least
8-10gb, seperate from the root file system. I done this before with small hard
drives(< <1gb). I cannot spend any money to do this. One of my options is to use
a Compaq Prosignia 500. I know how to access most of the normal internal parts,
including the internal scsi. But, all I have available are 2gb drives.
Questions:
1. Is there a Linux driver for Compaqs SMART SCSI Array Controller?
2. And/Or, is there a way to have a linux file system span multiple physical
hard drives( RAID in software, or something similer to what Netware allows when
creating volumes?).
Any help is appreciated
