I recently bought an Iwill P55TV Motherboard. The built-in scsi
controller is an Adaptec PCI Ultra SCSI (AIC 7860 chip) which is the same as
an Adaptec AHA-2940AU PCI SCSI controller.
I tried to re-install linux, booting off (first) a aha2x4x.s boot
image, and when that didn't detect the controller scsi.s. I am using the
Infomagic release of Slackware 3.1 Previously I used an aha1510, and had to
set boot parameters when loading (ie. base address, irq, etc.) This was not
successful with the new chip set. What other things might I try to remedy this?
