try ftp://ftp.adaptec.com:/pub/BBS/ig and get the ig_1515.pdf file...  
there should be enough info for you to figure out what the jumpers do

1520 support was the right thing to do .. the kernel command line 
parameters are (from the scsi howto):

	aha152x=<PORTBASE>[,<IRQ>[,<SCSI-ID>[,<RECONNECT>[<PARITY>]]]]

portbase,irq, and scsi-id are self explanitory... reconnect is 1 for 
on and 0 for off.. as is parity...
