Shuttle Technologies make a SCSI host adapter that interfaces to a PC
via the parallel port. This adapter is known as 'EPSA' and is packaged
as an adapter cable by several OEMs.
The adapter consists of a modified version of the NCR 5380 and a parallel
port protocol engine that is very similar to the one in the SyQuest EZ135
and EZ230 drives.
I have put together a low-level SCSI driver for this device, and I am
now ready for some brave folk to help me with the ALPHA testing of the
driver.
If you are already familiar with the way SCSI devices work in Linux and
have one of these cables, you can download the driver source files,
epsa.c and epsa.h from ftp://ftp.torque.net/pub . Please let me know
if you are testing the driver, and report all your observations to me.
