I sucessfully loaded Slackware 3.0 (included with 'Linux Secrets') on my
Pentium 90 Mhz machine. I could not, however, get the CD-ROM to work --
I copied the Linux compressed files from the CD-ROM to drive C of DOS 6.22
and then installed Linux from the DOS partition. I've still had not luck
in getting the CD-ROM to work. The problem is that I haven't a clue as to
which Linux driver to use. After reading 'Linix Secrets', the 'howto'
files,
and most of the CD-ROM driver source code, I'm more confused than ever.
I've got a Media Vision multi-media card with a Sanyo 94S CD-ROM drive.
Media Vision apparently used several combinations of CD-ROM drives and
drivers, depending on when the card was manufactured. I could not reach
Media Vision tech support -- are they out of business?
I thought it would be helpful to show parts of the boot sequence of DOS
6.22.

I've been working on this for two days and would certainly appriciate any
help on this matter.
