I just rebooted to be dead sure that the termination is right: Yup!

My SCSI string looks like this:

| aha1542cf +-----+  tape   +-----+   disc   |

The Adaptec is terminated using the software selection method, the disc is
terminated too (well, I do sincerelly hope, but the docs that came with the
drive not much worth), while the tape is untermated (i removed the resistor
SILs so there should be no doubt in this case).
