I'll also vouch for NECs utter incompetence for getting the SCSI spec
implemented the first time. Or the second, third, or fourth times, for that
matter. NEC has a wonderful track record of building high performance
devices that a) don't work until the fifth revision, and b) not telling
customers when they fix something.
But, I still buy their stuff, because when it finally get it right, it's
darn good. My next CD-ROM drive will be a Plextor 6Plex, though.
