I don't know of a bootp client that's currently available for Linux.

Dan Ridge, newt@cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov, is writing a bootp/DHCP client for
booting Beowulf. It's not publically available yet, but I expect that it
will be stable enough for beta test sometime soon. Check for the
announcement on http://cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov/linux in about a month.
