It seems that the Appletalk code under Linux 1.3.8 (and 1.3.9) is still
broken. Running an strace on atalkd (part of the netatalk package), I get:
socket(PF_???, DGRAM, 0) = 9
ioctl(9, SIOCSIFADDR,
<blank inserted for readability>
Kernel panic: skput:over: 001ca4e8:50
It looks like it bombs on the SIOCSIFADDR ioctl(). Other than that, I
don't have much information to give. netatalk can be found on
terminator.rs.itd.umich.edu in /unix/netatalk.
I am using a Gateway 2000 P90 with the DEC 21040 chip on an SMC
Etherpower PCI board. If any other information is needed, just let me know.
