One other thing you might want to check is the interface the telephone
company makes available. In the USA, it seems to be common that a U
interface is provided (the bare wire), and so the equipment sold there
often has a U interface or at least has an option for it.
Over here in the Netherlands, and I think also in Germany, the phone
company provides an S/T interface (by installing a box called an NT1).
So, U interface equipment is useless here, but you can install it when
it was provided as an S/T interface card plus an NT1 (which you discard).
You might want to check with the phone company if they provide you with
the NT1 (or the S/T interface) or if you have to arrange for that yourself.
Depending on that, it could vary if you should order your equipment in
Germany or in the USA. (making sure they provide the correct protocol,
e.g. Euro-ISDN, in each case)
