Are you saying that if you run Netscape on your Linux box to
the same remote site as the Windows box you get a steady 3KB/s transfer?
Try this on both the Linux box and the Windows box at roughly the same time.
If you really are getting much faster response to the same site at
the same time on the Linux box, then we have something to look at here.
Otherwise, I'm betting that what you are seeing is just that the Internet
is increadibly congested these days.
[Anyone else want to have a completely seperate net for HTTP traffic
so that we can get some real work done in the background :-)]
