Stupid questions but...
Did you try a browser? When you telneted to the port, did you give
it a properly formated GET command followed by TWO carriage returns? If
all you did was telnet to the port and wait for something to happen, you'll
be hearing jingle bells in hades first. The server doesn't send out anything
until it gets a request.
Suggested properly formatted GET command: "GET / HTTP/1.0".

Tell us what you did that should have worked and we might be able
to tell...
BTW... I'm running Apache 1.0.5 allong with Apache-SSL 1.0.5 on
Linux 2.0.0... They work GREAT!
