Folks -

Recently I setup a PPP connection for a friend of mine with a win95
box. In the course of trying to get this to work, I noticed a few
things:

1) I had to set the MTU/MRU to 1002 for ANYTHING to work.
2) Even with that set, I'm getting errors like the following (from a
tcpdump):

12:57:36.791320 ninja.binary9.net.1161 > phish.nether.net.www: P 1:278(277) ack 1 win 8760

Can anyone shed some light onto this for me?

Also, does anyone know how to setup the dialin connection so that you
DON'T have to "Open terminal window after connecting" and enter in
a username/password there? I want to use PAP only for
authorization. And is there anyway of setting PPPD to monitor the
modem (without running mgetty/uugetty/getty on the port) ?

Thanx alot!

N!
