Not Linux related, but it may be an option.
There's a program called WinGate (you should be able to find it on
http://www.windows95.com) that will allow one Win95 machine 
to proxy for another Win95 machine.  I used it on my small ethernet here at
home (and know a guy who used it for his whole school laboratory of
Windows95 machines) and it did the trick.  Not
sure about your setup (peer-to-peer) because mine was ethernet
based, but thought I should mention it =)  The only drawback is that you can
only use applications that can handle proxy servers =(
