I don't actually do the switch but I have experimented with the hot swapping
and use both ethernet and PPP. If the Hot swap goes cleanly you should be
able to do what you want. However, I would build scripts to make sure
everything is performed in the correct order as the Hot Swap seems a
little touchy to me. The other thing is bringing the network up and down
again as change devices. Is their anyway you can have both cards in
while you are configuring the system. Or do you only have room for one.
What are the specifics. Cards, Computer, kernel?
