Hello,
I just released ipfwadm 2.2, to be used on Linux 2.0.0 or above. If
nobody finds real bugs, this will be the final version for Linux 2.0.x.
The main difference with ipfwadm 2.1 is that it now supports changing
the timeout values used for masquerading (with a new -s command), a
feature added to the kernel in the 1.99.x (aka. pre2.0.x) series.
Some other, minor changes are listed in the README file.
Source can be found at the usual place:
ftp://ftp.xos.nl/pub/linux/ipfwadm/ipfwadm-2.2.tar.gz
Note that I have reorganized this directory a bit, by moving old and/or
obsolete versions to an old/ directory. The only versions available in
the main directory are now ipfwadm 1.2 and ipfwadm 2.2.
For the Red Hat Linux users I've also built source and binary RPM files
for both ipfwadm 1.2 (Red Hat Linux Picasso with kernel 1.2.13) and
ipfwadm 2.2 (Red Hat Linux Picasso with kernel 2.0.0):
ftp://ftp.xos.nl/pub/linux/ipfwadm/ipfwadm-1.2-0a.src.rpm
ftp://ftp.xos.nl/pub/linux/ipfwadm/ipfwadm-1.2-0a.i386.rpm
ftp://ftp.xos.nl/pub/linux/ipfwadm/ipfwadm-2.2-0a.src.rpm
ftp://ftp.xos.nl/pub/linux/ipfwadm/ipfwadm-2.2-0a.i386.rpm
I'll also upload these files to the Red Hat contrib directory when their
site is up and running again.
P.S.
A small note about the unusual "0a" release numbers for the RPM's: we
use "Xa", "Xb", etc. as release numbers for official release "X" Red Hat
packages that have been changed by ourselves. When a particular
package/version is not officially released by Red Hat at all, we use
"0a", "0b", etc. as release numbers.
